Version draft-0.1 · Effective TBD (placeholder)
MechOS ("we", "our", "us") is operated by MechOS Pty Ltd (ABN 80 698 552 706), an Australian proprietary limited company, providing software-as-a-service workshop management tools at getmechos.com.au. These Terms govern your ("Customer", "Workshop", "you") access to and use of the service.
MechOS provides a cloud-hosted application for automotive workshop operations: bookings, invoices, estimates, inventory, expenses, customer communications, and reporting. We provide the software and infrastructure; you provide the data about your workshop and your customers.
You own all data you enter into MechOS about your workshop, staff, and customers ("Customer Data"). We hold it on your behalf. We do not sell, trade, or use your Customer Data for any purpose other than operating MechOS for you and meeting our legal obligations.
You are responsible for keeping account credentials secure and for obtaining any consents required from your own customers before entering their personal information into MechOS.
New accounts receive a 14-day free trial. At trial end, continued access requires an active paid subscription. We will email you before trial expiry. After expiry, your data remains in the system for 30 days during which you can reactivate or export it.
Subscription pricing is displayed at getmechos.com.au/pricing and charged via VenueSmart. Prices exclude GST; GST is added to AU-billed invoices at the applicable rate.
We will give at least 30 days written notice before increasing your subscription fee. You may cancel before any increase takes effect.
We target 99.5% uptime excluding scheduled maintenance (announced at least 48 hours in advance) and factors outside our reasonable control. Support is via email during Australian business hours; response within 1 business day.
You may cancel at any time from Settings → Account. On cancellation we retain your data for 30 days to allow reactivation or export, then permanently delete it. We may suspend accounts for non-payment, breach of these Terms, or where required by law, with reasonable notice where possible.
At any time you can download a complete export of your Customer Data from Settings → Download My Data. Export is in JSON format and includes all invoices, clients, vehicles, bookings, expenses, and other records associated with your organization.
To the maximum extent permitted by law (including the Australian Consumer Law), our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or use of MechOS is limited to the fees paid by you in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or remedies available to you under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be lawfully excluded.
Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes we will notify you by email at least 14 days before they take effect, and your continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Queensland.
